Public Running Days

PUBLIC RUNNING DAYS HAVE RESUMED!

At long last … we restarted public running on Sunday, 17 January 2021.
Hours of Operation on Public Running Days are 11AM to 4pm
*** To ride the trains, enclosed footwear must be worn and will NOT be available, please bring your own. ***
In accordance with Queensland Health guidelines and our Covidsafe plan we will be collecting contact information of all passengers for contact tracing purposes only. Social distancing will be required around the station area and on trains.
Please follow instructions of Toowoomba Live Steamers members.
Your patience and cooperation is desired so we can ensure smooth running!

The Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. miniature railway is open to the general public for rides on the third Sunday of each month from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, weather permitting.

Prices …
A single ticket price is $2 price per person (Adult or Child) per ride. Each ride is one lap of the railway, which is approximately 900m long and will take about 8 – 10 minutes.

We also have available:-

  • ’10 Ride Multi-Pass’ tickets at a discounted price of $18;
  • ’25 Ride Gold Pass’ tickets at a discounted price of $40.
  • These passes ARE transferable and can be used for MULTIPLE passengers at ANY Public Running day!

Please note: Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. does not have credit card or EFTPOS facilities available on-site.

Risk and Safety Information when visiting a miniature railway …

Riding and visiting miniature railways involves some RISKS to passengers and visitors to the railway.

It is a mandatory Workplace Health and Safety requirement that  any person who rides on our trains, MUST WEAR ENCLOSED FOOTWEARShoes, sneakers, runners etc are suitable.

Enclosed footwear does not include THONGS,  SANDALS  OR BARE FEET. Sandals with strap/s around heels, or open at the front are NOT enclosed footwear. 

Passengers will not be permitted to ride without enclosed footwear.

If an incident does occur and someone is injured,  PLEASE report this to the person at the Ticket Sales Table at the Station.

If you  or any one else requires some assistance, there is a stocked First Aid Kit at the Ticket Sales Table available for use if required.
